CRONULLA have finally found a replacement for halfback Paul Green with the signing of Adelaide's Jason Ferris.

Ferris has played with both Canberra and North Queensland and is now taking on an important role with the Sharks. He is likely to be joined by Luke Priddis.

North Sydney have joined Brisbane as front-runners for the prize signature of Jamie Goddard. He is the biggest name player to become available since the Gold Coast and Adelaide were dumped by the National Rugby League, and North Sydney is looking like his possible home.

Adelaide rookie-of-the-year David Kidwell is being chased by seven clubs. Kidwell, a centre of great promise, already looks like earning more money than his previous contract.

Jason Nicol from the Gold Coast has been linked with Souths, Wes Patten with St George-Illawarra, Andrew King with Norths and Jason Hudson with Balmain.

Former Origin player Alan Cann has signed with the North Queensland Cowboys.
