ROLLER DERBY DOLLS

ABC1, 8pm

THEY might be wives and mothers by day, but they are hell on wheels at night.

This is the story of a sassy bunch of women from the outer suburbs of Brisbane who have resurrected the sport of full-contact roller derby in Australia.

They have set up a roller derby league to become one of the 220 now dotted around the globe.

Developed in the US in the 1920s, the sport took off around the world before fading into obscurity in the 1980s.

Driven by the passion of suburban women from all walks of life, pictured, the league sees these rebels, misfits, rockabillies and punks become a tight team on the rink.

FIND MY FAMILY

Prime, 8pm

PERHAPS the morning after the night before was a little awkward for Lynda's mum and her one-night stand.

Because all Lynda knows of her father is his name and that he was in the Navy 40 years and nine months ago.

She didn't know the man she called "dad" was actually her stepfather until her mum spilled the beans when Lynda was a teenager.

It explained why she was the only redhead in the family.

So at 40, she is looking for a man called Graham who has sandy-coloured hair.

PACKED TO THE RAFTERS

Prime, 8.30pm

JULIE hopes a therapeutic barbecue might ease the simmering tensions within the family.
